Description:
This project is the result of my experiments with procedural terrain generation, sandbox game design, complex Unreal blueprinting, and much more. I learned a lot about all these topics from creating this project, but I was not always able to apply what I learned back to the game itself. I would do most things very differently if I would do this project again, and focus more on the game experience rather than the technical design. Tasks and Responsibilities: This was an individual project so all tasks and responsibilities were mine. I started the project by researching all the design topics I'm interested in and passionate about, such as procedural terrain generation, sandbox game design, UE4 blueprinting, and even open world game design. I set myself the goal to create a proof of concept that would evidence my abilities to design and develop a game with all these aspects. Conclusion I'm happy with the results of this project, as I have made many personal developments and learned a lot. The game is not the best game I've ever made, but that was never the goal. Feel free to download the game from my Itch.io page (button on the right) to get a better insight into my project. |
